Three years ago, Thermaltake launched the first BlacX hard drive dock which was a new take on the external storage devices. The BlacX allowed you to hot swap 3.5″ or 2.5″ SATA hard drives through a USB 2.0 port. Fast forward to today and several revisions we now have Thermaltake’s latest revision, the BlacX 5G. The 5G stands for the maximum transfer rate of 5.0 Gbps of USB 3.0 that the BlacX 5G utilizes along with a SATA III hard drive interface to bring an easy to use and fast hard drive docking solution.
