Picture this, you have just spent a fortune, making your dream PC run whisper quiet, but you need to upgrade your graphics card, and when you do, you are treated to a hair dryer like fanfare each time you start up! This is an all too familiar scenario, and nowadays, the customer is a little more discerning than they were, say three to four years ago, but one thing still remains the same - Stock graphics card coolers are generally quite poor, and by that, I mean noisy and inefficient. To remedy this, we need to buy an after market cooling solution, and that brings us to today's review subject, the all new Thermalright Shaman VGA cooler.
A few months back, we took Thermalright's monstrous Spitfire VGA cooler for a spin, it was undoubtedly an awesome piece of kit, however, its sheer size and rather odd shape meant that it would not fit into many systems. On paper, this seems to address most of the compatibility issues that the Spitfire had, but in a more compact (and I use this term very loosely!) unit . Will the smaller unit mean less cooling power? Read on to find out...
