So, as we approached the long weekend we decided that we were going to give you guys something to take a gander at over the weekend. This is the Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7 OC, Gigabyte's premier X79 chipset motherboard which is heavily geared towards overclocking LGA 2011 processors. There are also four PCI-E slots which enable 4-Way SLI on 4 graphics cards which are also supposed to be more overclockable due to the extra power connectors on the motherboard for PCI-E. Because this board is so heavily focused on overclocking, Gigabyte has decided to only go with a single quad-channel of memory as it allows them to have greater control over the modules and get them to higher clock speeds. Furthermore, most people will survive just fine on 4x4GB modules or 16GB of RAM if it runs at extremely high clock speeds.
As you'll notice on some of the product packaging, there are a lot of very interesting features on this board including "3D" power for the RAM and CPU as well as a "3D" UEFI BIOS, which is a huge departure from a standard BIOS. This board also comes with a WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0 module which enables the latest and greatest wireless connectivity between your computer, network and devices.
Without further a do, we present you our Gigabyte X79 UD7 Preview gallery.
