All laptops generate heat, and usually a lot of it. Heat is typically a lot bigger problem in laptops since they have the same hardware in a smaller space than their traditional counterparts. While most operating systems do allow you to turn down the clock speed of your processor, this comes with a performance hit and isn't ideal. The other solution to laptop heat is to use a piece of hardware like the Evercool Fit. The Evercool Fit is an external fan that sucks air out of the fan vents in the laptop. This provides extra airflow inside the laptop chassis, which is unique compared to other coolers that just increase airflow around the chassis. It should be interesting to see how this unique design works in comparison to other, more traditional, coolers.
