The first release in the series, titled Dragon Age: Origins, was released in November of 2009. The latest release, Dragon Age 2, was released in March of 2011, and is the focus of this gameplay performance evaluation. Dragon Age 2 boasts a newly enhanced graphics engine over what shipped with Origins, offering a selection of new DirectX 11 features and improved DirectX 9 features.
