Crucial have always been at the forefront of memory technology, with their Ballistix range of DDR, DD2 and DDR3 acquiring accolades from across the globe.  Today, we are going to take a look at their latest innovative product, the catchily titled Ballistix BL2KIT25664FN 1608 2x2GB Memory Kit.  This RAM carries the same specification as the Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3 PC3-12800 BL25664TB1608 that we reviewed back in March.The biggest difference, and it is a big one, is the replacement of Crucial's trademark yellow Ballistix heat spreaders with new heavy duty black finned heat spreaders.  Crucial claim that these spreaders give 30% better performance in heat dissipation over their predecessors.Starting with this kit, Crucial are also introducing some new software, the Ballistix MOD Utility.  This software is an Industry first which lets you monitor module temperatures, more on this later!The modules come with XMP and are aimed primarily at Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 platforms.So, it all looks great on paper, the specs are impressive, but how will they perform?  Read on to find out...
