Cooler Master has been producing a range of cooling products and accessories for the PC enthusiast market for over ten years now. Its main manufacturing plant in Taiwan carries ISO 9001 accreditation that demonstrates a certain commitment to quality, which is seen throughout its product range. Cooler Master has now gone global with two further manufacturing plants in China and offices worldwide. Its product range now includes CPU and chipset coolers, PC enclosures, power supplies, case fans, and accessories that include products from laptop coolers to high performance coolant. Most PC enthusiasts will be aware of Cooler Master's highly regarded PC enclosures - the HAF 932 or CM 690 being two fine examples. However, this time around, OCC will be looking at one of its power supplies, the Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200W. This will be the first Cooler Master power supply I have looked at for OCC and if I’m being totally honest, I’ve always regarded its power supplies as good, but not quite up there with the likes of Corsair, Thermaltake, PC Power & Cooling, and other top brands. Nevertheless, its reputation does seem to have improved dramatically of late. Let’s put the Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200W through its paces and see how well it performs.
