BitFenix is an up and coming PC enthusiast parts manufacturer. BitFenix states they would like to blur the line between the man and the machine. Let's see how this statement holds up as the Outlaw mid-tower case is reviewed. BitFenix has five models of cases and the Outlaw is the entry model.
The BitFenix Outlaw presents an interesting and unique item into the entry level mid-tower cases. From the outside the first thing to be noticed is the SoftTouch front bezel that Bitfenix has been using on many other models. What a PC enthusiast will notice next is the unique architecture of the inside. The case's main side is on its right side, not its left side. This just begins the uniqueness of the architecture. The first thing I thought when I saw the inside was, the motherboard mounts upside down! True enough if you watch the video you will see what I mean. I will go into more detail about this feature in a little bit. Ample 5.25" and 3.5" bays are available with one 2'5" mount for SSDs. There are eight possible 120mm fan (two upgradable to 140mm) mounting points or even optional liquid cooling points. Of course there are also four USB 2.0 ports, audio ports, power button and reset button on the top bezel. The good people at Bitfenix have also allowed me to know that two of the USB ports will be replaced with USB 3.0 ports.
