AMD’s line-up of Evergreen-based graphics cards is very tight today. If you want to enjoy DirectX 11, you can choose anything from the cheap, yet quite games-capable Radeon HD 5670 to the expensive dual-processor flagship Radeon HD 5970. In between these two extremes there are as many as four models: Radeon HD 5750 ($109-129), Radeon HD 5770 ($159), Radeon HD 5850 ($279-299) and Radeon HD 5870 ($379-399). Taking a look at their prices, which regrettably often differ from the retail ones, you can see that there is a substantial difference between the Radeon HD 5770 and Radeon HD 5850 which is not filled by a DirectX 11 compatible product. Trying to close this gap up, AMD announces one more model: Radeon HD 5830!
