Asus is… well Asus is Asus. They are one of the leading companies in the component market as well as a leader in many other areas of the PC world. Asus and their teams of R&D engineers, product managers, and technical specialists continue to push the envelope of what you can and cannot do in the world of PC components. In particular they make some of the most feature packed mother boards available from the consumer level up to the enthusiast. At the enthusiast level Asus has done a great job of balancing the performance of their boards. In many cases a motherboard that shows great overclocked performance will not do so well at stock speeds. However, the Asus technicians work very hard to ensure a good balance of performance at both levels. Today we take a look at one of these motherboards to see just how well the Asus techs have done their job. This is the Maximus III Extreme.
