Asus is one of those companies that like to push the engineering envelope. They are not always successful but they are often right on the money. One place they have had a good track record for success is in their non-reference GPU designs. These are Asus inspired designs with their own brand of cooling and PWM. We have looked at these before and found them to be stable and to perform well.Today we have another one of these in house. It is the Asus EAH5850 Top DirectCU. We talked about these not too long ago. When we first showed the pictures of the boxes and card people wondered about the claims of 110% performance increase. Well we wondered about that one too.
